Did you know that 65% of Catholics (that’s millions) do not believe in the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist? That is the number one reason Catholics have left the Church. Some folks are receiving this “symbol” as though Jesus is dead. Good News! Jesus is NOT dead. The Bread and Wine are a gift of love from our Lord and Savior. It is not a piece of bread or a cup of wine. It IS the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus. Our Lord told us in scripture, he would never leave us. Jesus does not lie!

Satanists believe in the real presence. That is why they try to steal consecrated hosts to desecrate at their “Black Mass.”

Participating in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, unites us with the Church in Heaven.  To Catholics who do believe the Eucharist is Jesus, are you receiving Jesus in a worthy manner? (1 Cor 11:28-32). Basically, are you preparing to receive Jesus in the Eucharist by humbling yourself before the Lord? This gift of the Eucharist is filled with love and graces that Jesus is pouring out to each person who receives. Praying after you return to your seat, it is imperative that you acknowledge his presence nourishing your soul at that moment. This is a gift of love and filled with graces. Do not be distracted by the music during this time. Prayers of praise and thanksgiving are appropriate. Anima Christi (Soul of Christ) is one such prayer.

Sunday, June 2nd is the celebration of Corpus Christi. Some parishes have a procession after Mass with the Monstrance containing a Consecrated Host. May you receive the blessings and graces from our Lord Jesus. To learn how to Consecrate yourself to the Eucharist, I recommend the book by Matthew Kelly, “33 days to Eucharistic Glory”.  (  It is worth the read and the journey.

"Pray, Hope and Don’t Worry. It is useless to worry. God hears

Your prayers and will answer you."   Padre Pio
